Jillian B. Andrews, Coordinator of Membership Services for the Middletown YMCA, passed away peacefully at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. She was 30. The loving daughter of Neville and Beverly Ballard Andrews, she was born on January 21, 1981 in Bronx.
Jillian attended Holy Rosary Elementary School on Eastchester Road in Bronx, where she graduated in 1995. In June 1995, Jillian moved with her mother and father to Middletown, NY and enrolled in Middletown High School in the fall of 1995.
Jillian graduated from Middletown High School in 1999 and attended Hampton University from August 1999 to June 2000. Jillian returned to Middletown in 2000 and attended classes at O.C.C.C. Jillian began her career at the Middletown Y.M.C.A. in 2002 and progressed to her position of Membership Services Coordinator in 2010. Jillian’s gift of making others feel comfortable and her caring concern and ability to reach out brought her professional accolades and the love of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Neville and Beverly at home, Jillian is survived by one sister, Nicole of Bronx; aunts: Jo-Ellen Andrews of Middletown, Diana Ballard of Queens, Vivian Ballard of Queens, Carole Jackson of Bayshore, LI, Linda Juerakhan of New York City, and Cynthia Henderson of California; uncles, Louis Ballard of Bronx, NY and Kenneth Henderson of California. Jillian also leaves to mourn a host of cousins, Shanta House, Chiffon House, and Whitney House all of NYC, NY, Monique Bryant, and Harold Hicks, both of Long Island, Keisha Jackson and Gerrod Jackson of Long Island, Carl Andrews of Bronx, NY, Derek King and Shawn King of Queens, Krystal Ballard of Brooklyn, Evan Juerakhan, Jordan Juerakhan and Levi Palmer, all of NYC, Jayden Ballard of the Bronx and Chanell, Jerell and Jonathon Ballard, all of Manhattan, and Trevor Jackson of Bayshore, Long Island.
Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Christian Faith Fellowship, M & M Road, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Christian Faith Fellowship, Pastor Bryant Vasquez and Rev. Evelyn Bridges-Lee will officiate. Cremation will follow the service at Cedar Hill Crematory, Rt. 9W, Middle Hope, NY 12550.
