A Zimbabwean man responded to his goat’s distress bleats and was shocked to find a young man hunched over the animal – bonking it. David Mutunha said he could not believe what his eyes were seeing.

He yanked the perpetrator from his goat who sheepishly zipped up his trousers, offering no explanation for his actions. Mutunha was angry because he was convinced this was not the first time his goat had been abused.

Unsure what to do with the goat, Mutunha called his neighbours to witness what the 22-year-old man had done to his beloved animal.

Word quickly spread in the small town and crowds gathered to see for themselves. The perpetrator, now curled into a ball of embarrassment, waited for the mob to pounce on him. The incident happened on Saturday under the cover of darkness in Norton’s ward 28.

Residents were outraged at the actions of the young man which they described as disgusting and inhuman. They were united in calling for the young man to be stiffly punished for what he had subjected the goat to.

The young man was handed over to the police who arrested him for committing bestiality with a goat.

Under section 74 of Zimbabwe's Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act, Chapter 9:23, it is illegal for any person to engage in sexual activity with an animal.

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson, Superintendent Andrew Phiri confirmed the arrest.
