The Lightning are led by freshman Imani Dubois (Bronx, NY/JP Tarravella), who is tied for 16th in the land with 29 aces in 29 sets, an average of 1.0 ace per set. Junior Besa Zabelaj (White Plains, NY/White Plains) is not far behind, averaging .79 aces per set (23 aces in 29 sets), ranked 43rd.

Dubois had a season-high seven aces on September 11, 2012, a home 3-0 win over Sarah Lawrence. She has had at least one ace in eight of the team's nine matches.

Zabelaj's high water mark for this season is six, done against CUNYAC foe Medgar Evers College on September 8, 2012.
