The man they call The King has lived to rule another day.

Henrik Lundqvist of Sweden is leading the New York Rangers into territory in which they have no recent experience.

Lundqvist made 22 saves in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinal against the Washington Capitals on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, sending the Rangers to the conference final for the first time since 1997 with a 2-1 victory.

The Rangers will face a team they have come to hate, the New Jersey Devils, in the conference final starting on Monday with Game 1 at MSG. It has not been two months since the Rangers and Devils began a game with a nasty line brawl.

The Rangers won the Cup 18 years ago.
