In commemoration of National Runaway Prevention Month, the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) Commissioner Jeanne B. Mullgrav is hosting a series of forums in the five boroughs designed to build support for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

The forums, which build on a report from the NYC Commission on LGBTQ Runaway and Homeless Youth called “All Our Children: Strategies to Prevent Homelessness, Strengthen Services and Build Support for LGBTQ Youth,” are designed to engage communities in a discussion on the issues facing vulnerable young people.

The Bronx event will take place in Bronx Borough Hall, 851 Grand Concourse at 6:00 p.m. Participants will discuss strategies to keep LGBTQ youth safe and avoid homelessness.
