We Are The Bronx (WATB) fellowship is currently accepting applications from Bronx community leaders to apply to participate in a professional development program to strengthen themselves, their agencies, the Bronx, as well as to learn how to bring resources and best practices to their community.

In addition, this serves as an excellent networking opportunity in order to facilitate group discussion, partnership, and coalition building. The application may be downloaded at here and the deadline is Thursday, July 15, 2010.

Interviews for the Fellowship will take place this summer and the program will begin in October and run through June 2011. Each month, Fellows participate in monthly seminars, which cover a variety of issues including resource development, working with the media, public speaking, strategic planning, and more. In addition, Fellows take part in monthly committee meetings, which give them an issue to tackle and the opportunity to learn how to work together better.

We Are The Bronx is entering its second year and has been modeled after the We Are All Brooklyn (WAAB) Fellowship. WATB is generously funded by the J. P. Morgan Chase Foundation and is managed by CAUSE-NY, the intergroup relations division of the Jewish Community Relations Council of NY (JCRC-NY). JCRC-NY is an affiliate of the UJA-Federation of NY.
