Providence Rest’s Bronx Gala

Providence Rest Nursing Home and Foundation will hold its annual Bridges to the Future Gala, on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. The Rev. Msgr. Thomas E. Gilleece, Pastor of St. John and St. Mary Church in Chappaqua will be Honorary Chairman.

Honorees for the evening include: His Excellency, Timothy M. Dolan, Archbishop of New York, who will receive the St. John the Baptist Service Award; Jack Gleason, Esq., Chairman of the Providence Rest Board of Directors, who will be recognized with the Blessed Alfonso Maria Fusco Award for his many years of devoted service to Providence Rest; and New York’s Secretary of State, Lorraine A. Cortés-Vázquez, who will receive the Community Service Award in honor of her deep commitment to human services in the Bronx. David Anthony Pope, President & CEO of The Generoso Pope Foundation, will accept the Providence Rest Recognition Award in honor of the Foundation’s support to our Home. The Dinner Chair is John Decina, CEO of Barr & Barr.

Dominic Chianese who portrayed Uncle Junior in The Sopranos, will be Master of Ceremonies. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by Dinner at 7:30 p.m. Frank Terris Orchestra will provide the music. Dress: business attire. Tickets: $350 per person. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Building Fund for the new Providence Rest facility.
