Starting this Sunday, Marc Abraham, aka UK’s Favourite Vet, who is based in Brighton, UK, will be volunteering in the Bronx to end the killing of thousands of adoptable dogs and cats each year in the city’s animal shelters.

Marc Abraham has been a qualified vet for almost 14 years and has treated a wide range of animals from dogs and cats, to farm and exotic species.

He prides himself and his work on always putting the animal first – an attitude that has made him extremely popular not only amongst his clients and the general public, but with his patients too!

The “UK’s Favourite Vet”

As a result of his obvious commitment to animals, Marc was recently awarded the national veterinary industry’s prestigious Special Recognition Award as the UK’s favourite vet, voted for by the public.

Television

Marc can be regularly seen giving valuable advice on the biggest animal-related TV Shows on British prime-time TV, including Channel 4’s Paul O’Grady Show, It’s Me Or the Dog and BBC1’s popular Animal Rescue Live; as well as current affairs programmes such as BBC Breakfast news and ITN News.

His international appeal and versatility is also evident, from managing teams of animal-rescue volunteer workers in post-tsunami Thailand to recording pet-related shows in Hollywood, as well as two for CNN USA nationwide –aired in September 2008 with another two being filmed in November 2008.
