New York City's First-Born Baby In 2012 Is From Bronx

The city's first-born baby in 2012 is a girl and her name is Rania Ali.

Rania arrived at the Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx at 00:00 a.m. earlier today. She measured 7 pounds, 3 ounces and 18.5 inches.

The proud parents are mother Ali Ali and father Imdad Ali, who are Pakistani immigrants who live in the Throgs Neck section of Bronx.

Congratulations to the Ali family!
