The 4th LSO will conduct a Farewell Ceremony to honor the Soldiers who will be mobilizing and/or deploying with the 10th Mountain Division as part of its mission in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The 4th LSO will hold this Farewell Ceremony on Saturday, September 11, 2010, during its scheduled Battle Assembly.  As that day will also mark the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, this Farewell Ceremony will incorporate elements of the 9-11 remembrance.

In September, 2010, MAJ Joseph Fedorko, CPT Leicia Grant, CPT Tracee Millard, CPT Luis Peral, CPT Jorge Rosario, CPT Lawrence Sista, CPT Robin Wakefield, 1LT David Yee, CW3 Bradley Whitford, SFC Alfred Shearer, SFC Jim Zitney, SSG Vith Thon, SPC Matthew Doell, SPC Derek Dugos, SPC Katelyn Houts, SPC Xavier Viellot, and PFC Dominick Muto will report to Fort Drum for one year.  The Farewell Ceremony will begin at 11:00 am and will be held at the SGT Joseph E. Muller USAR Center, 555 E. 238th Street, Bronx, NY.

The Farewell Ceremony is a tribute to the ongoing sacrifices Soldiers, their families and their employers make in order to support the mission.  We acknowledge these Soldiers as they continue to contribute to Military Operations in the United States and overseas.

The ceremony is open to families, employers, community leaders, elected officials and the media.  Names and organization of all attendees must be provided to CPT Grant no later than September 8, 2010.
