On June 1, 2012 more than 500 students participated in the 3rd annual Jump Rope for Heart at P.S. 195 on Ward Avenue.

Participants raised over $3,000 for the American Heart Association (AHA) by participating in and seeking sponsors for a variety of heart-strengthening activities.

Third grader Christian Sanchez from class 313 was the top fundraiser bringing in $1,090 for the AHA.

The event took place in the schoolyard at P.S. 195 under the direction of Physical Education instructor Pete Kilgallen. Student and staff at the school are proud of their efforts.
