City College of New York (CCNY) advertising workshop students and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center have partnered in an effort to raise awareness of the human papillomavirus (HPV) and its alarming rate of increase among sexually active men and women, in light of November being the Sexual Health Month.
According to statistic from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 out of 2 sexually active men and women are infected with the virus.
Both CCNY and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center understand the need to raise awareness of this virus and therefore are contacting you for a possible advertorial. In addition, CCNY advertising students hosted an event on campus on November 30, 2011, that educated their peers as well as inform about safe sex practices, and alternatives such as vaccination.
The event included food, activities, and presentations from informational speakers.
Imagine how scare it is to find out you have a cancer causing virus. Get vacinated! Help diminish the rate of HPV victims.
