Two swimming holes near Orchard Beach in Bronx have been shut down due to bacteria.

The waters around the West Fordham Street Association on City Island and the Danish American Beach Club are now off limits, health officials said.

Both beaches are close to the typically bustling Orchard Beach.

Health officials say there is concern about contamination from the bacteria.

There is no word yet on when the affected areas will re-open.
