We need your help - a NYC Parks Department preliminary plan proposes paving a 1.5 mile portion of the Putnam Trail!

The section in question is a significant portion of the Holiday Marathon race course and you can play a major role in what is done to this piece of history.

We are asking that you contact each of your local government representatives, urging them to support the Save the Putnam Trail campaign and ensure that the Putnam Trail stays 8ft wide and is improved with a stone dust surface, NOT a paved surface!

Please print and mail 2 copies of the letter (will be attached shortly). One should be addressed to Mayor Bloomberg, and the other to Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz JR.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg
City Hall
New York, NY 10007

Ruben Diaz, Jr.
Office of the Bronx Borough President
851 Grand Concourse, 3rd Floor
Bronx, New York 10451

We also encourage you to use the same letter template (will be attached shortly) and send it to the list of local representatives (will be attached shortly).

Should you have any questions, please contact Stephanie Zapata at SaveThePutnamTrail@gmail.com or visit the campaign's FaceBook profile here.
