Outdoor movie night – Race (PG-13) @ 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 23, 2017.

This movie night will feature a special introduction by Assemblyman Robert Rodriguez of East Harlem.

Join us at Icahn Stadium for the screening of the movie “Race” – the awe-inspiring and incredible story of the legendary Olympian, Jesse Owens (Stephan James). Travel back to the 1930s as young Jesse Owens battles adversity and became a track and field star gaining national recognition for breaking and setting many records under the guidance of coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis).

Fun fact: Icahn Stadium is the same location that Jesse Owens won the 100-yard dash and qualified for the 1936 Berlin Olympics were he made history!

In celebration of our 25th anniversary many of this summer’s featured films will take us back to the year 1992! Whether a classic favorite or a recent blockbuster, Randall’s Island Park is an amazing place to take in a flick. Outdoor movie nights are presented in partnership with the NYC Parks Department.
