As part of its continuing mission to bring the arts into the communities of New York City, and to celebrate New York’s rich ethnic and cultural diversity, the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center (YPLC) are hosting a dance party on Thursday, April 29 at 7:30 to 10:00 pm at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse.

The Bronx’s own DJ D-Nice will spin a special DJ set for the event. This event is part of the expanded LC in the BX initiative, which has been made possible with a generous grant from Deutsche Bank and with support from The Honorable José M. Serrano, New York State Senate. This dance party will have a ticket charge of $20, and proceeds will benefit cultural initiatives in the Bronx. A $50 ticket is available which includes a VIP private tour of the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Previous LC in the BX events have included a free concert by Big 3 Palladium Orchestra, an afternoon of Latin jazz on the steps of the Bronx County Courthouse, and free library concerts by performers David Gonzalez and Philip Hamilton.

Commenting on the LC in the BX series, Reynold Levy, President of Lincoln Center said, “Lincoln Center is committed to making the performing arts available to the widest possible audience, and thanks to the generous support from Deutsche Bank and the on-going and steadfast support of New York State Senator José M. Serrano, we have been able to expand the reach and breath of our program offerings in the Bronx.”

Alessandra DiGiusto, Director and Chief Administrative Officer of the Deutsche Bank Americas Foundation, said, “Deutsche Bank is pleased to partner with Lincoln Center on their LC in the BX series. Now more than ever during these tough times, it is important recognize the arts as an economic engine and encourage people from all over to participate in these events and all that the Bronx has to offer.”

New York State Senator José M. Serrano added, “I applaud Lincoln Center for presenting a program that celebrates the cultural strength and legacy of the South Bronx community. This is a fantastic opportunity for Bronx residents to enjoy iconic performers with their family and friends. I would like to thank Lincoln Center for bringing together artists, patrons, and fans in support of our music and our roots.”
