In a quest to bring enjoyable and affordable nights of live music to New York City, 623 Entertainment presents The Mission Tour. On Saturday, May 09, 2009, at 09:00 p.m. a very special installment of The Mission Tour returns to Sputnik.

Sputnik, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at 262 Taafe Place, is a leading facility in the progressive re-birth of Brooklyn and next stop on The Mission Tour.

The Mission Tour is an artist showcase that features a number of acts ranging from Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Dance Hall and Comedy. After a successful April show, The Mission Tour returns to Brooklyn for a very special celebration. The artists of the Tour are honoring Cpl. David Stevenson, a loving husband, father and proud Marine. In just a few short weeks Cpl. Stevenson will be headed back to Iraq to serve his country for the second time. The following artists are scheduled to send Cpl. Stevenson off on a high note: Comedian Randy Tonge, Hip Hop artist David A. Bynum, Soul singer Bridget Barkan and Hip Hop artist Traum Diggs, with his band that includes Drea, Najee, SmartBlackKid, Pocket and Mr. FingazGotBeats.

The evening of live performances will take place on Saturday, May 09, 2009, at 09:00 p.m.  David Shanks, founder of 623 Entertainment “believes an evening of entertainment should not be about the cost, but about supporting the arts and truly having a great evening out”, therefore, the entrance fee is only $5. A $3 Happy Hour is also included in the evening from 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

With fans and music lovers from Philadelphia to Tokyo these artists are making it feasible for everyone to enjoy a live performance as they tour the country. The Mission Tour is slated to hit Atlanta, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles this year. By 2010, The Mission Tour will embark on their international tour beginning in Berlin, Germany.

623 Entertainment’s mission is to open doors and to create opportunities where there are none. Whether it’s music, comedy, or film, 623 Entertainment represents the essence of determination and independence.
