Cops say the brazen attack on a holiday shopper in a busy shopping center happened at around 6 pm on November 18. A 17-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat of an Audi ‘Q’ SUV parked in front of Saks Off 5th in the Bay Plaza Shopping Center. One of the trio opened the passenger door as another suspect displayed a firearm. The passenger exited the vehicle and the three carjackers hopped in and drove away.

Police released surveillance video of the three suspects from inside a NY city bus they had apparently traveled to the crime scene on. The first suspect is described as a black male in his late teens and early 20s. He was last seen wearing grey hooded sweatshirt, black jacket with the word “OBEY” on the back, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

The second suspect is also in his late teens and early 20s. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with the letter “H” on the front, grey sweatpants and white sneakers. Suspect number three is the same age and was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, army green jacket, black sweatpants with white stripes down the legs, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
