A 63-year-old man waiting for a No. 6 train in Midtown fainted, fell onto the tracks and was struck by an oncoming train Saturday — but miraculously survived, officials said.
The victim, who had just purchased an Aerodrone drone at a K-Mart, was waiting for the Bronx-bound train at the 51st Station station when he toppled over onto the tracks around noon.
The motorman saw the victim and hit the brakes but the train still struck the man’s legs, police sources said.
Two good Samaritan straphangers managed to pull the man back onto the platform, leaving bloody smears on the ground.
Paramedics rushed him to Bellevue Hospital with cuts and trauma to both his legs, officials said. He is expected to survive.
Police and MTA employees temporarily shut down service at the 51st Street station as they investigated.
The man’s drone — still in its box — was found on the tracks, officials said.
This is the second time in eight days that someone was struck by an oncoming train, officials said.
On January 27, 2017, an M train in Queens struck a 37-year-old man in the head as he leaned over near the platform’s edge to pick up his backpack. That man died at the scene, cops said.
