Two NYPD transit officers stopped a fare beater in Bronx — and found he was armed with a loaded handgun, police said Thursday.

The two officers stopped 21-year-old Rondell McCorkle around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday after they saw him jump a turnstile at the 160th Street station on the No. 2 line in Bronx, officials said.

The officers determined McCorkle had an outstanding warrant. As they arrested him they found a black 9-mm. Beretta loaded with 13 rounds in his left jacket pocket, cops said.

McCorkle did not struggle or reach for the gun as cops arrested him.

“He was a turnstile jumper and the good thing is that something as innocent as that led to a loaded firearm being taken off the street,” a police source said.

Cops charged McCorkle with criminal possession of a weapon, intent to defraud the transit system, and criminal trespass.
