Man Fatally Hit By Subway In Bronx

A man was struck and killed by a No. 6 subway train after he fell to the tracks in Bronx Friday morning, authorities said.

The victim was hit by the southbound 6 train at the St. Lawrence Avenue station about 6:15 a.m., officials said.

The MTA rerouted trains in both directions from Westchester Sq.-East Tremont Ave. and Hunts Point Avenue, bypassing seven stops through Soundview and Parkchester.

Cops were workig to identify the victim, who was believed to be homeless. He may have been sleeping when he somehow rolled onto the tracks, cops said.
