A young girl had to receive stitches after a vicious dog attack in Pelham Bay.

According to the girl’s mom, Dara Grillo, they were cornered in the entranceway of her Roberts Avenue apartment building by a loose pit bull Wednesday afternoon.

Grillo says she struggled to help her daughter, Isabella Tropea, while also trying to protect her infant son.

The dog bit the girl’s face, and is now in the hands of Animal Care and Control.
