A man was found dead in the backseat of burning BMW in Bronx early Tuesday, officials said.

The corpse was found at about 6:15 a.m. after firefighters put out the fire that consumed the four-door sedan and was spreading to a detached garage on Cruger Avenue near Boston Road in Allerton.

It was not immediately clear if the victim died in the fire or was killed and put in the vehicle before the fire had been set. His name was not released.

Fire marshals were investigating the fire Tuesday morning.
