Bronx Man Used Counterfeit Credit Card To Buy Laptops, Phone

A New York City man faces multiple charges after he allegedly used a fake credit card to purchase computer and phone equipment at a Milford department store.

Jose Cabrera, 26, of Webb Avenue in Bronx, NY was charged January 29, 2014 with:

According to Milford Police, the arrest stems from a complaint the department received reporting that two men were using a fraudulent credit card at Sears. 

The officers’ investigation led to Cabrera’s arrest for his alleged involvement in the use of a counterfeit credit card to purchase two laptop computers, a phone and a phone charger. 

The items combined for a total value of $495.39, police said.

Cabrera was held on a $5,000 bond.

Milford Police report the investigation continues as they search for the second suspect.
