A Lawrence, MA man and two men from Bronx were arrested Thursday afternoon on Rte. 290 in Northborough, MA after a state trooper found 300 grams of heroin in their car, state police said in a press release.

Juan Portes Cabrera, 57, of Lawrence, MA, David Coss Vasquez, 30, of Bronx, NY and Valentin Casilla, 42, of Bronx, NY, were charged with drug trafficking, conspiracy to violate the drug laws and distribution of a Class A substance, state police said.

All three men were set to be arraigned in Westborough District Court Friday.

State police said the three men were traveling westbound on Rte. 290 around noon when Trooper Dana Oliver pulled them over for a number of motor vehicle violations.

The information all three men provided was believed to be false, the car was improperly registered, the driver was unlicensed and the men’s Puerto Rican IDs were possibly forged, state police said.
