A New York City high school employee is out of a job after a couple of students conducted their own sting operation.

The students at the Cinema School in Bronx, who found an IT technician to be “creepy,” took matters into their own hands by creating a phony Facebook profile for a 16-year-old girl they named “Sarah Archer.”

The students then enticed the tech, 38-year-old Kevin Eckstein, to friend them.

Eckstein allegedly took the bait, repeatedly asked “Archer” out on a date and was terminated from his job, according to investigators.

Stunned parents said the situation should have been handled differently.

Eckstein, who was fired in August, denied the claims and said that he had been the target of a prank. He told the Post that when he found out “Sarah Archer” was 16, he blocked her.

The Department of Education said in a statement that Eckstein is barred from future employment at the DOE.
