A Bronx man has been charged in connection with a slashing at a Manhattan McDonald's that police are calling a hate crime.

Police say Keith Patron, 44, turned himself in at a Bronx precinct, claiming to be the man seen in surveillance pictures taken the night of the attack.

Investigators say last Wednesday the attacker got into an argument with another man and his partner inside the McDonalds on West 3rd Street.

As they argued, police say the man, believed to be Patron, pulled out a razor blade and slashed the victim on the elbow, face, back and neck.

The victim was taken to the hospital for stitches.

Patron is charged with assault as a hate crime.
