Man, 26, Killed In Bronx Hit-Run Accident

Police are investigating an accident in Bronx in which a pedestrian was fatally struck by a truck that fled the scene.

The 26-year-old victim, Elliot Jermaine of the Bronx, was struck at East 233rd Street and Barnes Avenue at 4:43 a.m. Tuesday.

He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Jermaine was crossing Barnes Avenue when a white box truck traveling north on Barnes Avenue struck him while making a left turn onto 233rd Street.
