Police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap a 6-year-old boy in front of a school in the Schuylerville section of Bronx.

The stranger, described as a 6-foot-2 black man in his 50s, approached the child at 7 a.m. Friday in front of Public Schpool 160 on Hutchinson River Parkway, cops said.

He grabbed the boy by the arm and ordered him to follow him home. A passerby interrupted the attempt and the would-be kidnapper fled on foot.

Police said suspect had a thick grey beard and mustache and was wearing a black baseball cap and camouflage pants. They also released a sketch of the suspect.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit NYPDCrimestoppers.com.

All calls are strictly confidential.
