Noel Veloz, CEO and Co Founder Hemincuff, is the 26 year old designer’s very own leather goods brand. He was born and raised in the Castle hill projects in the Bronx which is a dangerous neighborhood with constant crime.

Noel ended up graduating from a Mercy College with a Bachelors degree in business while juggling 2 jobs and an internship. He worked and freelanced for companies such as Diesel, Rag & Bone, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton.

What made Noel want to do a leather goods line?

At 28, Noel’s dad migrated from the Dominican Republic to become a pattern maker in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. His father always had a love for leather but never took the necessary steps to pursue making those items after his business shut down, due to shady partners. From a young age, Noel wanted to finish what his dad couldn’t, so he dived into the wonderful world of leather goods.

Noel at one point conjured up enough money to fund his line by collecting cans while dressed in suit. He coined the name Hemincuff from his father that always claimed “the quality is always in Hem and Cuff”.

In 2015, met his brand co-founder VadimChinderjinschi. The two were born same week, month, year and 2 different continents. The duo met while working in the luxury retail industry and decided to pursue a venture based on common passion.

Hemincuff is currently working on their first Italian made private collection set to debut later this year called ‘the Dylan bag’, the ambiance of minimalistic designs and premium quality materials give hemincuff bags versatility and functionality, while the bold designs offer the individual a display canvas for their unique personality.
