Cablevision employees in Bronx voted overwhelmingly not to join the Communication Workers of America (CWA) union today.

The employees, part of Cablevision’s Bronx Field Service and Audit Technicians, voted 74 percent to 26 percent against unionization.

Cablevision officials welcomed the vote.

“Cablevision employees have spoken loudly and clearly that they value their direct relationship with the company, especially in this period of change, growth and dynamic opportunity,” the company said through a released statement. “Our Bronx employees gave this matter careful consideration and independently and overwhelmingly rejected the CWA’s campaign of misinformation and false promises.”

CWA representatives have not yet provided comment.
