Back with his latest project G.O.O.D. music prodigy Common gives music fans a refreshing sound of pure hip-hop fused with soul and creativity. With Finding Forever Common gives us the usuals, great beats, soulful rhythms with equally matching lyrics and a little touch of intrigue. With “The People” which is the first single to be released from the album, Common takes us back to old school Hip-Hop when lyrics were meant to inspire and rhythms were more than just simple beats.

Back with his latest project G.O.O.D music prodigy Common gives music fans a refreshing sound of pure hip-hop fused with soul and creativity. The track is an endearing message to the urbanites of tomorrow and yesteryear to “take your time and make your fire.” On the melodramatic “So Far To Go” Common teams up with soul veteran D’Angelo and takes a very sensitive subject and turns it into a poetic love song that pleases more than it obscures. Other songs to look for on the album include “U Black Maybe” which perfectly balances the ruggedness of the lyrics with the eclectic mix of jazzy rhythms and 70’s fused melodies. “Forever Begins” is the type of song that has the potential to replay in your mind continuously thanks to a drum note that is repeated throughout the song. Other notables include, “The Game” and “Break My Heart” Overall Finding Forever is an above average album that standouts in a sea full of sub par releases of the same genre.
