A 76-year-old Bronx veteran complained of improper treatment by a financial advisor during a meeting at a local office of HSBC bank. The result: the new branch manager at the location closed all of his accounts (savings and checking) of 35 years and 5 Certificate of Deposits (2 months) old. The reason branch manager give was that she feels the 76-year-old man is afraid to bank at the branch and is closing his accounts for his own safety. Letters have been written to President and CEO, cc-ing Bronx District Manager who allegedly agreed to the closure of his accounts. The victim feels this is retaliatory and because of his age. This branch is only a block away from his home and easiest to walk to as he is also survivor of triple bypass and almost legally blind.
