Knowing all too well how the current economic situation is affecting local families and children, The Clemenza Foundation has once again made a major distribution to some of the neediest individuals in the community. The distribution included items, all brand new, ranging from clothing and shoes, to household goods and gift sets. The items were distributed directly to families in need, as well as given via major disbursements to organizations ranging from Madonna Heights and the SCO Family of Services to the Nassau-Suffolk Coalition for the Homeless.

"We are thrilled to be able to provide those less fortunate with these necessary items," remarked Anthony Clemenza, Founder and President of The Clemenza Foundation.  "More than just dropping a band-aid on top of a wound, however, these items show the neediest in our communities just how much they are thought of and cared for.  Seeing first hand the generosity of these strangers, many of which could be neighbors of program recipients, means a great deal more than merely receiving a new pair of shoes.  Sometimes simply knowing how much someone cares for you is all a person needs to keep on pushing and fight through their troubles.  These distributions were possible thanks to the generosity of the individuals and businesses who understand the importance of making a difference in the life of a disadvantaged child and their family."

Now in its fourth year in existence, The Clemenza Foundation has continued to be a stalwart organization in helping New York neighbors in need.  With the creation of new programs such as the Legal Education & Advocacy Coalition and the Artistic Trinity Initiative, as well as the expansion of existing programs Inspire the Mind and Dream Makers, Inc., The Clemenza Foundation expects to help a record number of children and their families in 2009.  As one of the largest all volunteer non-profits in New York, they are showing that the heart of a volunteer is a truly powerful force indeed.  Mr. Clemenza, in particular, has personally dedicated his life over the past year to furthering his vision and goals for The Clemenza Foundation.  "At the end of the day, nothing is more fulfilling than knowing your work helped to better the life of a child or neighbor in need", he said.

About The Clemenza Foundation - The Clemenza Foundation (TCF), one of New York's most trusted and respected 501(c)(3) non profit public charities, is dedicated to enriching the lives of ill, impoverished, and abused children living throughout the New York Metropolitan area.  This is done through a wide variety of charitable, artistic, and educational programs so as to reach the broadest and most diverse group of children possible.  Some of The Clemenza Foundation's most popular program initiatives include: Dream Makers Incorporated, Retail Donation Partnership Program, Inspire the Mind Literacy Program, the Legal Education & Advocacy Coalition, the Tutoring Mentors Project, Tools for School Donation Program, Smiles are Contagious Holiday Spectacular, the Gentle Snowflake Holiday Toy Distribution, and the Artistic Trinity Initiative.  TCF takes great pride in their wide-ranging achievements and in their fiscal responsibility.  The organization pays no salaries whatsoever, and keeps overhead to an absolute minimum, so that all contributions go toward the children & families that need them the most.  TCF is supported financially by grants, and by donations from individuals and businesses from throughout the region.  The volunteers who generously donate their time to the organization span all ages, come from all walks of life, and live throughout the NY Metropolitan area.
