On Friday June 26th, 2009 the Osborne Association is hosting its annual Bronx Health Fair to address some of the health related issues within the Bronx community. A large number of community members attend annually. The Health Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Osborne Association’s Bronx site located at 809 Westchester Avenue, and is geared towards helping participants adopt healthy lifestyles. Some of the services that will be present at the fair include: *HIV testing, Hepatitis and sexually transmitted infection screenings, as provided by Project Street Beat *Tobacco Cessation information and Services, provided by The Department of Health Tobacco Cessation Unit *Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, St. Luke’s Hospital, 161st Street Pharmacy, Hispanic AIDS Forum (HAF), United Bronx Parents and other organizations offering information, advice, and services to participants *Games, food and fun! The Osborne Association is an organization dedicated to offering opportunities to individuals who have been in conflict with the law to transform their lives through innovative, effective, and replicable programs that serve the community by reducing crime and its human and economic costs.
