Brendan N. Hughes Passes At 61

Brendan N. Hughes, 61, of Bronx and formerly of Rye, died Aug. 31 at Jacobi Hospital in Bronx.

Born April 13, 1951, in Passaic, N.J., he was an avid fisherman. He worked for more than 25 years for ABC as member of local 30 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.

He was predeceased by his parents, John and Irene (nee Neville) Hughes. Surviving are his three brothers John, Michael and Christopher; his many nephews, niece and grandnephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Post Road, Rye. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
